    hi,
i live in a small village in wales, went to a meeting on wednesday, basically, what we could do to improve our village,
i suggested some allotements-village in bloom competition-and maybe a sunday market to sell local produce, they seemed very interested,
has anyone set up this kind of thing ,do you think it would work ,and do the council have to supply you with land if there is much interest
    thanks arwyn

Wow, on pauls website on the faq there is this
    "Did you know?

All councils in England & Wales (with the exception of Inner London) have to, by law, provide allotments? Any group of adults over the age of 18 and registered on the electoral role can group together to request the council provide."

So since your in wales, yes they do have to by law provide allotments.
