There are plenty of large bees around here, doing their thing. We don't take much notice of each other and just carry on with what we're doing.

I like seeing the bees around, makes me realise that summer is on its way - and that can only be(e) a good thing!
I hate wasps - they are quite pointless in my opinion - bees and hoverflies can manage the task of pollination and we can be rid of the bloody creatures!! They just sting - and it hurts!

"Bumble Bees" can fly in colder conditions than hive bees. Apparently they use their wings to "rev up" their body temps.
I f you Google "wasps" you find that they're extremely useful creatures. Maybe not for us when they sting us, drown in our beer and stop us enjoying our picnics.:( But their species will be here long after we've become extinct.

I had a visit from a large Red tailed bumblebee Lapidarius this morning in my conservatory.
It rested up awhile and moved on, I assume looking for a nesting place.
    Its great to see them.
