Hi, Spruce. Yes, that is this morning. The two tall bits on the left is the Poincettia. Jacarandas to the far left.

Victoria your Brugmansia looks fantastic and it is a truly wonderful looking plant.

I bought one when I first started gardening, I think I bought from Morrisons it looked fantastic but died in winter, it is not hardy and I have no real place to overwinter it, if I grow one it has t be as a annual.

Also when I was in Portugal, I witnessed the jacaranda tree in blossom, that looked out of this world, it stopped me in my tracks.

Out of interest can you grow a Amaryllis outside?

              Hi @GreenFingeredPete

Sorry Pete I missed this. I have two Jacaranda trees too, one of which contains a tree house for our cats and Van lives up there most of the day. :heehee:

If you are interested, I have a thread An Algarve Garden 2024

and I was just asked the size of the blooms and ...

I have had over 200 blooms at one time on it and it is very headily scented in the evenings.

I have had Amaryllis belladonna for years in the ground ...
