Cauliflowers

    once picked how and how long can i keep a cauliflower. If i keep it in the ground the curds start to separate.

    Ideally, you should cut and use Caulis the same day. If not, then freeze them. You wont detract from the flavour if you blanch them first.

    Mine died this year but I'll try again next year should be easier now I've found this forum

    LMRR, the secret to growing good Caulis is to have the ground like concrete. Before planting, walk up and down the row several times to really compact the soil.:thumb:

    Hello vegpatch,you can keep a caully for up to 3 weeks if you take the lot out the ground, shake the soil off the roots and hang it upside down in a cool shed.:thumb:
