I've been popping into your site regularly LoL and watching the work in progress and now it looks fabulous. I am absolutely green with envy. At last you can have a bath - it must be such a relief to come in out of the garden shower. :D :D

My hubby's doing his best on our downstairs shower/loo but he cannot compete with your builders - mores the pity.....! And - one day - he said - I'm going to have a KITCHEN !! [IMG] Mind you, he's been saying that for over 4 years........... [IMG]

    What's your next project then??

Thanks krissy, Pal and rosa. You just don't know how nice it was to have a bath last night after two months of showers on the kitchen patio! It was heaven.

krissy, I've waited ten years for the bathrooms, six of which I've been living in the house! There was a bathroom of sorts with a toilet not fixed to the floor, drains that didn't drain, etc, etc. The kitchen was a priority BEFORE I moved in ... do you BBQ frequently? [IMG]

Thank you, pip. Now that we can attempt to get back to normality, the painting, inside and outside starts. Fortunately eveything is white but it's awkward with the 17 foot tall ceilings (10 one side and 17 the other on the five rooms, barring kitchen and bathrooms). But that's t'other half's job! :D

Much of our furniture and belongings are in the transit van at our friends house. But, even though it has a solar charger on it (because it's never used) it's parked under a large tree and the battery is dead! So, now we have to go buy jumper cables so we can get the van back here to unload. We have an electric battery charger but our friends are in the UK till the end of August so we can't hook it up! Fun and games continue ...

    Thanks Sis, dq and DAG.

dq, looking forward to seeing your pictures and also what's going on with krissy.

I'll say it was worth all the aggro when it's really all finished DAG. We spent four hours today going to all sorts of places looking for a tall white lacquered unit to match the sink. Seems like the closest match is an order item, at least two weeks. The towel tower thingy we wanted in white is out of stock but we did get the white toilet roll holder/cover to attach to the side of the sink unit. I would have preferred had it not been just under 30 degrees today!

However, I've consoled myself with some plants! :D So, off I go to do something with them.
