garlic & strawberrys

    hi all

    i have planted some garlic in pots which is in my greenhouse now over winter do i leave it in there or put it in a coldframe or just outside ? first time growing as you can tell also i planted some strawberry runners up will they be ok in the greenhouse over winter or do i have to bring them in ?

    the greenhouse is'nt heated by the way but i do have it bubblewrapped and also have some fleece at hand

    Well the garlic needs to get cold during the winter. I understand that stimulates it to develop numerous cloves. Also you should leave strawberries out until January because they need cold to stimulate the production of flower buds - i think that is called vernalisation and it applies to a number of plants.

    Yep, plant garlic cloves outside in a vegetable bed in Oct. they should give you early crop next year in Jun [​IMG] .
