What sort of damage, holes all over or great big swathes of destruction?

Cranesbill are the perennial geraniums that die down in winter - purple and pink flowers usually.

I always get confused about them, not sure if they should properly be called pelargoniums, but I've always called the geraniums too.

I know mine get a bit leggy and rubbish when I bring them indoors, so after a couple of years I bin them (well the chickens love them!) and get new ones.
