So loving GC and it's members as I do, having met some of the members face to face, having seen the compassion, caring, practical help displayed by all members to all other members in the past I would like to make a suggestion..........

Take a few minutes to actually think over what's been said, have a cup of tea, glass of wine, or whatever tickles your fancy. Then when you done that return to being the person you were before you started to read and post in this very divisive thread. Maybe the World and various countries are doomed forever to be in conflict, but I do think that perhaps what the Beatles are quoted as saying should be GC's motto.......and maybe the World's.

Further to ARMANDII's excellent comments, I would like to suggest that everyone leaves this thread and not give Admin (particularly ARMANDII) the onerous task of having to analyse all the contentious issues that are arising.

It's obvious that views are polarised and there seems no purpose in further discussion. I stopped posting because I saw it coming and come on GC for friendly discussion only. No one has to accept other's points of view but we seem to have passed the stage where they can be put on here without immediate challenge - all to no effect!

So I can't see any purpose in continuing. It's not like a discussion over a pint or meal which is all of the moment and can get heated but be over fairly quickly - with, usually, hugs all round. This type of discussion we get 'on the net' gets spread out over time, and festers.
