Kids Again!

Our daughter is expecting her fourth child in November. At present they're in the middle of an extension, including having the kitchen doubled in size. There will be an island of units in the middle so presently there's a channel been dug across the floor for the services which is temporarily covered by some boards.
The conversation between her and her youngest daughter who's three, went like this the other night.

"Don't keep walking across those boards you are going to trip and fall over if you do it so often."

"Could I die if I fell over?"

"Well... you could."

"You wouldn't like it if I died, would you mummy?"

"No I wouldn't."

"'cos then you'd only have two naughty children!"

As JanG said "out of the mouths of babes". some years ago i was visiting my mother, with my youngest daughter. my mother took the wee one into the kitchen for a biscuit and a drink of juice. the kitchen was next door to were i was sitting so, i could hear every word. my mother said " there is a box of sweets and biscuits, just take what you like darling,and i will get some juice for you" . on receiving the juice ,my daughter said "thanks very much gran thats very nice of you " "and gran i dont understand, my mum said
