    Hello fellow gardeners,
    Ive just been alocated an allottment by my local council and am very keen to get started on it,i need to do alot of clearing work first and wanted to know what i could plant at this time of year for a nice winter harvest?:thumbsup:

    Welcome to Gardeners Corner Beau.

    You could still get some spuds in, they'll get to new potato size by the time the frost gets them. Some nurseries will have them in especially for a Christmas harvest now.

    Other things, Purple Sprouting Broccoli, Leaf Beet, Cos Lettuce, Mustard.

    Still worth getting some peas on the go, we were picking in November last year.

    If you can't find the seed potatoes groves nursery stock them in august.
