:) This is my first time with this plant Pennisetum Vellosum ,an attractive fluffy grass,a perennial that is usually treated as an annual in this country.I am going to try it for hardiness, but will try and save some seed incase.
    Has anyone else grown it?
    Overwintered it?
    Or sown seed?

    P. villosum and a closely related species P. setaceum can be overwintered, but they must have extremely well drained soil if they are to survive the winter wet. I've had P. setaceum 'rubrum' die out despite all efforts to keep the rain off in winter, but seedlings which came up in gravel carried on for several years. Villosum is possibly not quite as sensitive, but it will do better if liberal quantities of sharp sand are added when planting and a thick gravel mulch applied afterwards.

Good grief - I've just discovered that when you want to type c o a r s e normally, you get co****!

    ****! ;)
