    Hello,

I'm new on here. My next-door neighbour is trying to identify a plant that has grown in his garden for the first time this year. It began flowering in late April and has lilac flowers with 4 petals. Having searched through all my gardening books, I have drawn a blank! Initially, I had thought the plant could be a Bittercress (Cardamine Pentaphyllos) due to the leaf shape and flower colour, but I no longer think this; the pictures of bittercress I have seen clearly show 5 conjoined leaves, which this plant doesn't have.

I have attached some pictures and would be very grateful for any help identifiying this plant. Thank you.

Yes i agree the plant is honesty, when the flowers are finished you get silver disc shaped leaves that you can use with other dried flowers.
