All the buds on my climbing roses are turning to mush, it just seems to have started happening this year. Could it be the sudden hot weather? I've just read the 'sticky' which confirmed the diagnosis :( Are anyone else's roses suddenly suffering this malady on previously healthy plants and is there anything I can try to combat it? (please)

Hi terrier. All my roses seem to be doing ok, with a good flush of flowers. Sorry to hear that yours aren't doing so good, sounds like a horrid condition. WOO will know what to do :)

Hi Terrier yes the rain here as all but washed me out sadly, but i have cut them all off down to an outward Bud ,hoping that they will bloom again:)
Or you could try If they haven't gone to far, easing the outside Petals Downwards with the finger and thumb ,Hope this was helpful to you:)

Thanks Woo, unfortunately, the stems are dying off as well so I'm just cutting anything off that looks affected back to the branch. It's very humid here in between heavy showers of rain. I've had about 3 decent blooms and I've cut dozens off :( I suppose this is the price we pay for a few days of nice weather!
