I thought gardening was supposed to be relaxing???? Don't think I have ever felt so shattered after digging out the flower beds today! And I'm still not finished.
I think someone must have had a stone covered bed there in the past because that is all I am finding stone after stone after stone!!!

Anyway time for a tea break!!!!!

I'd agree with that. Little and often, "Rome wasn't built in a day" & all that.
As for digging up stones. I know exactly what that's like! :runforhills:

You do have my sympathy, Stacym, but if you remember we did say in your other thread, dig a stretch at a time:heehee::old::snork:

You can only truly relax when the mind and the body are equally tired. Everyday life taxes the mind, gardening gives the mind a break while the body catches up:)

Then, after all that fresh air and a nice brew, then you relax. Not for too long though. The work is never done.:)

Once you get past that bit its a lot more fun. I've got heavy clay so digging is kind of a nightmare here too.

              I sypathise completely.

One of the benefits of having a small garden (like me) is I didn`t have to go through what you do. I only have something like 50 square feet of border and the tubs look after themselves basically.

You`ll get the benefit when you`re done though and when your garden is looking good, you`ll stand back and say it was all worth it. Guaranteed.
