Computer driving me up the wall for about 10 days now I have been unable to access some sites I usually get the time-out warning and am unable to connect it's the same sites p/bucket being one of them, there is nothing wrong with the sites as I can go down the library and access them no problem,I am with virgin and know they are not perfect have tried the ping test but no luck on the route out signal gets lost for some reason as it relays through the network.Anyone any ideas or anyone experiencing the same problem?

Only problem I have with Photobucket, and very recently, is that first of all that handy little yellow tag has disappeared to say that the link is copied. Then when I copied the normal way instead...........I kept getting the wrong picture!:lollol:

So I had to double click on the image to get it up into edit and then right click and copy the link on the RHS of that screen to get the correct link!

Now I just have to right click on the usual link and copy, but the yellow tag has gone now.

I try to avoid Photobucket during the evenings of school holiday times as it sometimes gets too busy and hopelessly slow.

I'm glad that you asked that question DAG, as I have the same problem now too.

As for not being able to access a site, Walnut, I've had such a notice a few times. I can usually get in the next go round.

Worse yet, when I have been into my mail programme (Outlook), most of the time I can't get back into any site at all! :help: I have to shut the computer down and do a restart. Hope somebody has an idea what that is and what can be done to get things back to normal.

Yes you have to place your cursor over the pic now to get the links, but the links don't work as well as they used to!

    I noticed that to, it's a shame.

Those getting time out....I've found that's it's my router causing the problem, have a wireless one so a restarting the router does the job for me.

Cant help on your original question I'm afraid walnut.

But as to the photobucket problem, click on "link options" under the first thumbnail, and make sure "show links in all albums" is checked as "always", NOT, "only on mouse over".

Pete - what we would like to have back is not necessarily the links being shown all the time, but the little yellow tag saying "copied" when you just go over the picture with the courser.

Sounds like a fault on your line/internet connection Walnut if connections are timing out and you can connect to sites from the library. I've found that p/bucket can be a bit slow at times particularly during peak demand periods but clicking on 'Refresh' in IE or Firefox brings it up without fail.
I'd suggest you contact Virgin and ask them to test your connection.

Thanks Dave, the strange thing is it's only certain same sites it's lightning quick otherwise beggining to think it could be network interface card which isn't dear to replace so may try that, it will be cheaper than ringing an engineer they charge about a pound a minute.

Oh poor you Woo, you keep on having problems with your pc/connection don't you. It would be driving me nuts too. I wish there was someway I could think of helping you.

Hopefully someone will come on here with an answer, we do have some clever ones on here but I suspect they may be busy with Christmas at the mo. Have you tried any other sites for an answer, that's if you can get in to them of course!

I do hope you get fixed soon.

    cheers

Photobucket - Copying Links (For anyone still finding it difficult)

Hover over the pic and the links will appear below. All you need to do then is hover over the lowest link and LEFT CLICK. "Copied" should then show up very briefly highlighted in yellow. The screen shot below doesn't show the brief yellow highlight, but shows the link highlighted.

Dave when I did it that way, I was finding it difficult to get the actual link I wanted to copy.

For some reason on a lot of occasions the copied link was the wrong one.

So I went back to the old way of doing it, and find I dont get any problems.:)
