Could this be Asparagus?

    I'm staying at an elderly couple's house and they have asked me if this plant is asparagus. I've had to say I don't know but I know someone who does Please HELP!:mad:

    Yes! More proof will be when it grows it's leaves are feathery

    It definitely looks like asparagus to me :gnthb:

    Certainly is, but it looks like some serious weeding is required:D

    Thanks for the confirmation.
    Neither of them remembers ever planting it, but then, they don't remember whose garden it is most of the time. They just enjoy the garden in the hear and now, which is perhaps what we all should do more of.

    I have just returned from Cyprus ,where Jan-March asparagus grows wild .

    It has long stems and is pinkish :gnthb:

    I try so hard to look at everything like that but don't always manage it.

    My plan is that long-hours worked in the Spring leads to much less hours being needed in the Summer and Autumn. and thus more time to sit in the garden and enjoy it!
