What's your weather - 2016

B all sleep last night due to the noise. Shiney your neighbour would have loved it
. I haven't been out yet but don't think there is any more serious damage. Winds of 101MPH recorded at The Tay Bridge last night. That's only about 20 mins drive from here. Think the winds are dying down now thank the lord, the forecast has us currently at 48mph which is a gentle breeze to last night . These past few days really have been pretty ghastly and quite frightening to be honest. We have a massive and glorious Copper Beech behind the house. I love this tree but if it came down it would be bye bye a good section of my house including my very nice kitchen! Thankfully she is in very good health and appears to have stood up to the pounding without a bother.

 

Well it's still windy.......

 

Windy again but at least the sun was out until 2.30pm then a few heavy showers.
Cooler than yesterday 8'c

 

6c very blustery but sunny all day and there was a glimmer of daylight right up to about 17:30, waaahayy.

Another cold one today. With the strong wind still blowing and sun still scarce the chill cuts like a knife at times, 6C/43F.

Snow is expected on them there hills tonight, we'll see.

 

5C and still windy.

 

A biting cold wind but at least we have some sun (for now!).

 

It is 51f/11c today. but cloudy again...

We are expecting the temperatures to drop sub zero from tomorrow through until the end of the month. Then I believe we're going to claw our way back up to spring!

 

Well, the weatherman lied again. It is now sunny and beautiful and just in time because I finished my inside chores!

What a wonderful treat today was. The sun is lowering now but I had the most delightful afternoon playing in the greenhouse. Had to put the automatic vent back on as it was boiling hot in there. Got all three fans secured with my home made brackets and did a lot of re-organizing. Just doesn't get better

Now for my 3 1/2 weeks of real winter on it's way ...

The wind had dropped a little today and the sun came out to play so I spent my first 20 minutes in the garden since the beginning of November. Definitely a breath of fresh air! 7C/45F and just for the record 6C/43F in Helensburgh.

 

4C and a bitterly cold wind that makes it feel a lot worse. It would not surprise me in the least if there is snow to come.

 

It's cloudy and chilly. We're dropping to the minus celcius range. And the weatherman lied again. Today's new forecast indicates that it will remain cloudy for the better part of the next 6 weeks. Maybe 4 days with a little sun scatter in those weeks.

So glad I had a wonderful afternoon yesterday to get me girded to face these upcoming dismal days. .
