    Morning all, :)

Its another cold one here, and by the weekend its supposed to be down right frigid!! "snow dig"

I am home today, my trip down to Toronto was postponed until next Tuesday, and I'm off to Barrie tomorrow, and Friday Brad is closing the shop and giving us all a 4 day weekend since Monday is a holiday here. So today is housework, I don't need to go out anywhere and I'm not....staying in and cleaning the house.

Tomorrow my MIL goes in for hip replacement surgery, Kait and Chris are home for the long weekend on Friday, and we need to check in on my FIL over the weekend, make sure he's ok without her being there, he'll be driving back and forth to see her in the hospital though.

Off to throw some laundry into the dryer, and then start on my vacuuming since I just mopped all the floors.....so enjoy your day. :blue thumb:

      Good day all,
I slept in today. The first time in years. Quite astonished about that but grateful for the much needed zzzzzs. :)

      Have a safe day all!

        Aloha everyone,

Got a workman in today (nephew) to repair outside rendering and paint. He's also going to do the ceiling in Mrs Shiney's treatment room (much too much hassle trying to do the walls, with everything that's in the room). He'll also wash down and repaint the kitchen. He's a very busy, and sought after, craftsman and will fit us in, between jobs. For customers he has a full book until 2018!

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

            Morning,

I'm feeling a bit sad today, Marion my hen is poorly, I rushed her to the vets yesterday, she had a very swollen abdomen she has suspected egg yolk peritonitis . The vet drained some fluid off to make her more comfy, she has dripped liquid all night I was up with her at 3.30am this morning changing her bedding & cleaning her. She has some meds but I don't think they are going to cure her :cry3:I've made an appointment for 8.40 tomorrow morning, if she's no better I'm going to let her go to rainbow bridge :cry3:. She's 4 years old & has had a good life free ranging in the garden, but that doesn't make it any easier . I've left her in the downstairs cloakroom with plenty of snacks, water & a comfy bed.

The seed swap parcel arrived this morning :snorky:.

I hope you are all well, have a good day folks :coffee:

Good day to one and all

The sun is shining, Mr "M" is doing errands for me :pathd:, Ozzy is feeling a tad "delicate" and won't leave my side (which gives the impression of one very loyal and loving dog :doggieshmooze: but I know his real reasons :heehee: ) so all is well in M-land.

Thank you, @Lorea :) That clip is hilarious :roflol:

              Definitely!!!

Noooo, not cheesecake :doh: This ... [IMG]

@Zigs - congratulations on the job front, that is brilliant news!!!! See? Once one bus comes along and all that :heehee:

@Penny in Ontario - hope MIL's hip operation goes/went well. Speedy healing wishes being sent her way.

@wiseowl - hope you are feeling a little better, day-by-day.

@shiney - I did have a little chuckle to myself when you mentioned only the ceiling is being done in Mrs Shiney's room; once a client is laid on their back on the couch, that is all they will see. Wonderful that your nephew is getting those jobs done for you when he is so booked up with work (2018!!!? :thud: )

Tempus fugit and I have a zillion things I want to accomplish today - I'll settle for 4 of them though :heehee::heehee:

Healing vibes to all who need them and miles of smiles for all xxMxx

Bloomin chilly at the gardening job today, had to keep wiggling me weeding fingers to prevent frostbite :hate-shocked:

                              Aloha everyone,

@wiseowl Didn't your feathers freeze whilst flying so low?

Well, I got a lot of gardening done yesterday afternoon and have been suffering ever since

I was doing a job that I really shouldn't have done :nonofinger:. It was hand clearing leaves, and some weeds, from amongst a lot of the newly growing plants. As they were growing I couldn't use a rake or I would have damaged them. So it required a lot of bending and stretching forward (exactly what I'm not supposed to do!). One of the areas was about 50sq ft of lilies. They need very careful handling.

I don't have too much trouble if I'm bending down and working on an area directly beneath me but stretching forward causes trouble and, like an idiot, that's what I was doing!

Now, my lower back is in a lot of pain and the only comfortable place for sitting is on the loo. :heehee: I'm going to have to resort to pain killers (hate them) to relieve the pain from my back and from the slap round the head from Mrs Shiney :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Keep well and have a great day

Take it easy today Shiney :)

Got some materials to sort out before work, although I can't see me getting much done if the frosts carry on  Might have an admin day instead (for that read doing the washing and spring cleaning )

Waiting on a txt to see if my offer of a Valentine's day breakfast has been taken up :fingers crossed:
