Hi everyone. I'm still learning but I already kept 2 Dumb Cane plants and a Rubber tree alive all winter and I want to grow other plants too. I have lots of space in the back yard to grow stuff. I'm hoping I can learn tons more from this forum and get new ideas.

Keep the Dumb Cane plant away from children and curious pets :)

Roughly where are you located? UK? North/South? It's always helpful to know where a member is located because the advice would vary accordingly.

Well done on your surviving plants - I bet you feel dead chuffed (and so you should):thumbsup:

Thanks for all the cool welcomes! This site is going to be very helpful.

@ Zigs - Yeah, I read about that Dumb Cane warning and it's in a protected space. I even wash my hands if I touch it. But it looks really cool.

@ "M" - Atm I'm living in the southwest USA and will probably be here for 10 years and maybe even more. The coldest night this winter was about -6C and we don't get very much snow. It only snowed once and that was less than a cm. Yesterday it was 22C and I think I'm in zone 7 or 8. I need to learn more about that. Also too much clay and sand in the soil but I've been fixing that with compost and bone meal. That helped a lot.
