Just grabbed a sandwich and a Kit-Kat from the vending machine at work today for my dinner (lunch if you are south of Birmingham  ) Now I like a Kit-kat - lovely wafer and chocolate combination , a classic in fact . Or it was ! It seemed to me the chocolate coating was thinner and tasted... well cheaper , if that's a taste ? Is Kit-Kat part of a cost cutting exercise , or is it me

      :hate-shocked::hate-shocked:

I hope no one is trying to Americanise the chocolate :th scifD36: (which pretty much means more sugar less actual chocolate).

Have to confess, I haven't had one in years ... but, I can see I will have to sacrifice my waistline for the purposes of research. :paladin:

I'll get back to you on this one Harry ... I may be some time .... got to give it a good sample size or it skews the figure(s) ...

      :partytime:

      ... I *will* be back ...

Not a northerner, but it was always school dinners, never school lunch, served up by dinner ladies.
We then used to go home and have tea, but later that became dinner as it was then the main meal, but only recently has midday been lunch.
In fact I get a few funny looks sometimes when I say is it dinner time yet.

Will never get used to saying some words, like lunch,(dinner) apartment,(flat) TV, (tele) and others I cant think of right now.

Sorry Harry, nothing to do with how thick the chocolate is on a kit kat, .....but you started it.:snork:

            I grew up hugely ...

            .... confused :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I had school dinners at school, went home for my tea.
My school friends had packed lunches and went home for dinner.
If I give my family a roast "dinner", being the main meal of the day, Mr "M" will ask at teatime, what's for dinner? (He means, tea ;) ).
            Flats are still flats.
TV or television (*never* tellie - wash your mouth out :hate-shocked: :nonofinger:)

I'm not a chocolate expert but I do know something about Kit-Kats. :heehee: I don't buy chocolate but the bridge club that I go to every Friday night gives chocolate bars free with a cuppa. I always choose a Kit-Kat. :blue thumb:

They don't seem to have changed their formula but have recently reduced the size of the bar . @Beckie76 Although I prefer dark chocolate I always have the milk chocolate Kit-Kats. I tried the dark ones and found them sweeter than the milk ones  .

Re the law student and her case:- good for her but she doesn't stand a chance. Even if there is a precedent the court would be unlikely to award her what she's asking for. I guess that she will get a replacement pack and a voucher for £5. although they may give her more because she has got them some good publicity.
