Now, I like BBC News it's the only form of news that I watch and trust to bring me at least some sense of truthfulness, BUT...........

At this time when they are experiencing money troubles ( shifting BBC 3 to online only, closing down totally the RedButton Service etc etc etc ) WHY have they got 4 different reporters in Brussels.

I'd love to know how much this has cost in reporters wages, camera/sound crews, hotel bills etc.

      Naaah, I don't think you would.:heehee:

All those wages would have to be paid whether or not they were in Timbuctoo, Blackpool or having a coffee in the BBC canteen.:dunno::heehee: The BBC is a Global Media having to respond to fast moving news and crisises where ever it is and that takes lots of staff. Some are on permanent contract, some short contract, some self employed, some are based in the UK and some in other countries. They also end up in some very uncomfortable and dangerous places where you and I would rather not be.......so it's not all the glamorous places or first class travel and in fact they mostly travel ordinary class.:snork:

When I was on jury service, one of our "team" was a freelance camera something or other (head too full of court facts to remember precisely) and the interesting thing was, he wanted the deliberations with over sooner rather than later because he had a short term contract, with the BBC, starting after the weekend that he was adamant he couldn't miss. Prized contracts amongst freelancer's it would seem and I don't think it was for the money but the kudos.
Don't think his haste swayed his judgement in the Jury Room though ;)

BBC are a Leftist joke with biased reporting

As for staff, just look behind the news presenter on BBC News at 6 there are about 85 staff
sat at desk terminals or moving about, those terminals are all connected to further terminals around the world along with money no object reporters/journalists

Look at the holiday programmes, de ded de "here we are in Italy, I look out of our hotel suite window over looking the bay of Naples with mount Vesuvius, You should really come here
DETAILS our three day stay all inclusive with flights from Heathrow can be had for as little as £4k pp

Do not forget to take the Jet foil to Capri or a taxi ride around Sorento for £300 a day up to two people,
The delightful manager of our hotel presented us with a bottle of Prosecco on our veranda"

I am afraid in MY Life the £300 would be the total cost of an AI in Spain and a manager would be no where to be seen :-)
