Where are you from/have you lived?

Born in Anlaby East Yorkshire(outskirts of Hull) moved half a mile north for 8 years then moved half a mile west for 23 years Had holidays abroad,France,Spain,Kent Love the Peak District and you can't beat the Yorkshire Dales IMO

I was born in Broseley, Telford. Then moved to Burton upon Trent as that is where was from. Not long after my parents divorced we moved to Birmingham, moved around Brum a few times I'm now settled in Solihull

Travelling wise I have many holidays in Britain and Ireland. I have benn on many holidays to Majorca, Italy, Tenerife. Honeymooned in Sri Lanka for best part of a month and have also done a lot of travelling around Germany and Austria mainly with work, but for pleasure on occasion also.

I was born in Darlaston, in the Black Country, when it was still in Staffordshire, now it`s West Midlands, moved to Wolverhampton after my first marriage, then moved to Bridgend on my second marriage, moved to Southern Ireland, back to Neath, then Malta, now residing in Port Talbot.
No point listing holidays, we have all mostly travelled to different parts of the world.

 

Born in Oxford and raised in the area.

Spent seven months in New Zealand (loved it) then went and spent a year in Oz (nice country and all that but..........). On the way I back spent a few months in SE Asia. After three weeks back in the UK I got bored so I went and lived in Amsterdam for nine months.

Since then I've done the usual holiday destinations (found some proper Deliverence type places in the deep south of the US!) and the plan is to retire out to The Canary Isles in a few years.

Three favourite cities are Amsterdam, Kaula Lumpur and Sydney. The three that I truly loath are LA, London and Melbourne.

 

Born in north Yorkshire. Moved to the now defunct county of Cleveland when I was tiny, without moving anywhere. Did a stint in rural Hampshire in my early 20s. Moved back. Did an almost 11 year stint in Sheffield. Loved it. Moved back to north Yorkshire about 6 years ago, still regretting it.

 

Born in Brierley Hill, was Staffordshire now West Midlands. Moved to Kidderminster, Worcestershire. Lived in Leeds, Bristol, London ( Uxbridge ), Kidderminster, London ( Shepherds Bush ) ( Chelsea ) ( Marylebone/Westminster ) Kidderminster.

Been to Isle Of Man, France, Germany, Austria and Italy.

Most of my travelling has been in England, and I'm proud of that as I think we're lucky to have one of the moat beautiful and diverse countries in Earth. Been to every county except for..... Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Suffolk.

 

Born in North West London to Scottish Parents. Went to school latterly in Somerset, liked the area and people down there. Spent about 4 years travelling the world playing professional tennis.
Moved up to Scotland too when my parents retired. Lived in Edinburgh for some time ( ok I suppose if you like cities, I don't). When possible moved to the countryside and now live in Fife, not far from the famous St Andrews golf course. Leaving where I currently live in a box as apart from having far too long winters I can't think of a nicer place to live, although that said, politically things may change dramatically and if so we will move, probably to Northumberland as still close enough to our friends and family.

 

Lived in the same village all of my short life so far, planning to move soon though.
British camping/caravaning; Hampshire, Devon, Cornwall, Monmouth, Pendine, Tenby, Wrexham and my favourite tacky place Porthcawl.
Abroad with parents; France, Spain (and its islands..few times), Portugal, Tunisia, Turkey, Jamaica, Mexico, Florida twice, New York, Venezuela, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Lucky to have parents who like to travel
Went to Amsterdam few years ago for my 21st and Wassenaar in Holland for our first family holiday last year. Nothing else planned, Mr Lynds not fussed on flying and my passports run out

 

Born in Germany to a German father and a British mother. I moved back home to County Durham 18 years ago. In 2010 we moved to Gateshead and in 2014 we moved into our current home at the Northumbrian border.

 

I've lived in Scotland pretty much my entire life. Born in Glasgow, lived not far from Partick in the central-West of the city until I was 11. After that, we moved to East Lothian and the coastal town of North Berwick, and I lived there and a couple of other places in the East Lothian area until my late 20s/turn of 30s.

I did go and work abroad in Norway for 18 months (considering if I wanted to emigrate there full time), but I missed Scotland and decided to come home. That was about 18 months ago also.

Once back I decided to settle in Fife. I was looking to buy a house and, though I still care for East Lothian, not only has too much happened there in the last few years, it's also NOT affordable for a "low budget"/first time buyer for the kind of property I wanted. Fife was/is much more affordable, and I now have a nice wee 2 bed place not far from Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy.


Family holidays were almost always Spain (my parents liked the sun), furthest afield I've been is either Arizona or Texas, USA, to visit friends.

 

Born in west of Ireland. Lived in co. Roscommon. When I was a child we lived in London and Weymouth. Then moved back to Roscommon. Lived in Sligo while in college then back home and bought a house in the same small village in Roscommon, been here since.
Did usual holidays , Spain Germany Belgium Netherlands Greece Florida New York Nashville Hawaii.

Booked a holiday this year for Cornwall heading in June.

Too poor to be born, I was knitted by the Lancashire branch of the WVS. Real "down home" women! At the age of 15, the family moved to the ancestral home near Farmer Maggots field in Middle Earth. Some years later, being fed up of Hobbits, I moved over to the land of Trolls, where I've been ever since.

Wrote that as a small riddle, but most of the places I've lived can be deduced...
