    Hi
I am currently studying a design degree with Open University and am investigating the topic of Nature for my current assignment.
I am looking into the benefits of being surrounded by nature but specifically from the point of community gardens (salutogenesis, civic and individual pride, community spirit), their benefit (or not) to the community and the individual. I was hoping some of you kind people may provide:
    • A testimony of the benefits of community gardens.
    • Your involvement with them.
    • Any specific benefits particular positives you have seen stem from them.
    • Any negative points.
    • Has funding them been straightforward?
Any help will is greatly appreciated!
If I receive some responses I may ask some more specific questions in line with how my other research develops, hopefully the forum wont mind this intrusion?!

Apologies if this is in the incorrect area of the forum but I figured 'off topic' may be the best place for it.
    Thanks in advance

    John

I think one of our members @Elliewc works with community gardens? Hopefully she'll be along and able to give you her experience

PS: If I'm wrong Ellie, I apologise

Hi Everyone, thank you for your replies. I had searched in the forum search for community gardens and nothing came up but had hoped someone may be involved in them personally.

I have found a lot of supporting evidence for them but wanted to compliment that with some correspondece with a user .

Hi @NigelJ, I am working with info from that very website!

I am also looking having why some people don't keep plants at home under the assumption that they have tried and failed or are intimidated by the thought of caring for them.

I will put that in another post to make it easeir to collate any info.

      Thanks again
