I grew this from a cutting but cannot remember what it was. Someone said it might be some kind of pink Honeysuckle. As you can see I am trying to train it as a shrub rather than a rambler. But, what exactly is it?? Do the leaf shape or flowers look honeysuckle-ish? IMAG0125.jpg IMAG0126.jpg IMAG0127.jpg

Hello barryman, If you Google 'Lonicera tatarica' it could well be that.

      Hi Barryman,

      Yeah I agree with Noisette.
It is a member of the Honeysuckle family and yes you're right to train this one as a bush.

thank you Noisette and Anthony. it seems like you are absolutely correct. i looked it up and got a bitw worried because it is apparently classed as "invasive" . presumably i just need to keep it in check and see that it doesnt start popping up where not planted...?

If I keep nipping of the tops will it get thicker and bushier? Apparently it can get a bit tall and scraggly.

Suggest you just leave it for a year or two before deciding whether to pruning it or not.
