Lots of sunshine here too with some heavy clouds drifting across the sky now and again. The promised showers are missing the island, which is typical because my garden needs rain! :doh:10C/50F

Well if what we've had over the last couple of days has been an " Arctic blast ", bring it on I say :)

We had 16 deg on Friday, 15 deg yesterday and 15 deg today. All with varying amounts of sunshine and no rain, snow, sleet, hail frost or owt like that.

We'll be getting a break Anthony and then there will be another one to follow it. I think summer's been cancelled this year again.

The skies were cloudy and grey all day today with the odd occasional short shower and the temperature never got about 48f.:dunno: The temperature right now is 41f and the pressure reading is 1021mbs.:coffee::snork:

With weeks of mostly sunny days I thought winter was behind us, and so do all of the plants. If this arctic blast is a real thing it could be a nightmare with most of my seedlings and tender plants growing happily outside now (unbelievably our three Ricinus are alive and just starting to be kicking again, so this is really quite inconsiderate of mother nature). Will have to huddle the whole lot together and try and get my fleece over the lot. I'm sure it's exaggerated though, right?! :)

@JackJJW , a few chilly nights for most of us this week . Even here in the Tropic of Wigan
I expect the weather to improve from the bank holiday weekend (hopefully ) Then I can reseed my lawn at last .
If you do group all your plants together this does help . The soil gets warm during the day and acts like little storage heaters. A Double layer of fleece will keep them snug enough .

Almost there now, think you're right that this is the last of it and from next week your lawn will be away :)

Its 0C here as I type. They were right to put out the snow poles. Not too far from here, 8" of snow fell yesterday. As a result, local car body repair shops are not short of work for a few weeks!
