Be wary. To me it looks rather like Convolvus avensis (Small Bindweed, Field Bindweed). If it is then it's a bugger to get rid of.

Many thanks for all replies, I did put clematis in this pot last year, recently i moved the ones i could see out but there was roots still remaining,

Could the roots start growing/are they certain types that completely die off and come up, to me it looks like a clematis of some kind.

I thought clematis when I seen it, the stems are not like my bindweed, I think
Funnily enough my two died off last year and started shooting through again, got some buds this year, don't know what one of them is so looks like we both got a surprise :)

Could you keep it in that spot or is not ideal? Looks happy there, wondering about disturbance or are they easily moved do you know? Mine need to go in deeper pots see

I'm with @longk , looks more like bindweed. Whatever you do don't plant it in the ground. If the roots are white and fleshy it's bindweed. Clematis roots to me are medium brown with a fleshy part then fibrous roots coming off. If it is bindweed any part of root left will make a new plant, and it spreads like crazy choking everything it comes across.

I guess i could Lynd it was fresh soil most plants did well in there last year, the only problem i might be doing away with this planter so really best moved now i will make a decision in the next few days,

The others i moved are doing well ones now in flower, but yes your correct it appears happy :).

Convolvus avensis looks nothing like its more common namesake but it is even harder to get rid of. Be wary.
