    Hello to you all.

Those that may have read my intro will know I'm a complete novice to all this and would greatly appreciate any help you could give identifying some plants for me...

These are in my North facing front garden and seem to be flourishing underneath but the flowers are dead.

My questions are, what is the plant and how much of the dead flower should I cut off.

The pictures are a bit rubbish, I can get more tomorrow if need be.

    Thanks in advance

The leaves at the bottom are Sedum spectabile and the dead flowers can be cut off down at ground level. There is also a young tree growing up through the sedum and I have no idea what it is, but you might want to remove.move it before it gets much bigger.

Thanks for the reply Nigel, I shall get snipping. There are loads of weeds growing in amongst them so once they've been dealt with I can see what else is under there!
