This has been in the garden for a number of years planted by my late father or his partner.

Thanks for the feedback. After looking up skimmia i have realised why it is looking so ill. They like shade and this one is planted in full sun. Unfortunately i think it may be a little to big to dig up and move without causing it more damage. Any suggestions?

I'd try the sequestrene suggested by Aesculus before doing anything drastic.

If that fails to green it up, then you could take a few cuttings if semi ripe wood in july time.
They root quite well if I remember rightly.

    Hi,
It's definately a Skimmia Japonica and should befed regularly with an Azalea feed. Once a week till you get some green back into those leaves. They should be supple, shiny and deep green. I would try giving it a light pruning to try and get some growth going further down the stems as it looks a wee bit baldy.
