Hello. Could someone please help me? I am new to gardening and I have no idea what this plant is.

It's seems a bit rampant and I am wondering what to do with it. Can I perhaps cut it back a little or is it due to do something interesting soon?

Any help would be much appreciated. [IMG][IMG]

    Hi Ingrid,

    It looks like Lysimachia Punctata.
It's an old cottage garden favourite, pretty yellow flowers. Can be divided to form nice clumps.

Thank you so much. I was feeling a bit ruthless and I was going to do away with quite a lot of it. I think I will wait and see what happens with it now [emoji4]

Not to say Anthony isn't right Ingrid, but it might be a good idea if you get a response from @Silver surfer who is one of the resident ID experts I think. Hopefully s/he will see this and give an opinion, you don't want something that might be a seeding nuisance flourishing ...
