Now flowering in the new garden. I never used to be nerdy about this kind of thing. Can anyone provide specific names?

This one had massive flower heads around 12 inches diameter, each individual flower is about 3 inches across. Hot pink in colour

Saw this one on the road side yesterday so must be common.

This one has individual flowers 3 inches across also, but not as many on each head.
    Lovely rich red.

This one is small, the flower heads are 3-4 inches across.

We grew many many Rhododendrons/Azaleas..both Species and named cultivars.....and have visited many gardens to photograph them.

However, even real experts find it hard to give accurate id's ....even with the whole plant infront of them.
Even the hairs on the tip of the leaves or the inudendum on the back of the leaf will give clues to a Rhodo expert.

The time of flowering is also a factor. For example R.Christmas Cheer always flowers early.
Some flower also changes colour eg..a tight bud it might be red ...but the flowers may open pink and could fade to almost white as they age.

In other words it is not easy! More impossible.!
