Plant ID pleeeeeaaase??

    As I mentioned in my hello thread I have a plant that I can't identify.
    Only problem is, the ID tag was missing and the garden centre staff didn't have a clue what it is.
    I bought it anyway as it's soooo nice.
    It was with the cacti and succulents so I assume it's a succulent :scratch:
    If anyone can ID it for me and possibly give me some care info I would be soooo grateful :D

    This is exactly how it looked when I bought it. I have since gently wiped the leaves and re-potted it ( original pot was far too small! )

    Fingers crossed for a positiveID :thku:

    My first thoughts are of the genus Hoya (looking at the leaves anyway...) but the flowers throw dampener on that =]

    I think it might be some kind of Metrosideros.:scratch:

    Its not a succulent.:)

    I think Pete is right, looks like Metrosideros Thomassii, one of a few all commonly known as the New Zealand Christmas Tree.:)
    Garden Centre staff often don't know one plant from another.:skp:
