        No, never all that interested in sci fi. Did listen to Dick Barton on the radio and later The Archers though....in fact, I have listened to The Archers ever since day one.

        Dick Barton was killed off by The Archers in 1951 :sad:

        Journey Into Space started in 1953 and ran for five years.

        They made a stage musical of Dick Barton which has been running, in different episodes, from 2001. I saw one a couple of years ago. Hilarious. :blue thumb:

              We, as kids, used to go next door to watch Ouatermass, I used to watch it from behind the settee. We got our first tv in`55 the year commercial telly started. Still listened to The Goons, Round the Horn and The Archers on the wireless though.
