          Thanks Nibor, do you know what type it is if not Peter Vidgeon? Be interested to see what you get @Anthony Rogers with your Peach Parfait & Peter Vidgeon!

            About forty different species/cultivars at various stages from seedling upwards at a rough guess.

              So far Alliums, Arisaema, Arum, Buddleja, Geraniums, Salvia, Stapeliads, Viburnum and suppressing urges to get more Cacti, Dahlias, Fuchsias and Epiphyllums on grounds of space.
              However I would like help on identifying the following Salvia that I bought this morning, no label, the seller thought it was a perennial. It has a square stem.

              Any ideas?

                What a coincidence. I was just taking photos of my Salvia "Embers Wish" which is what I think yours is..................
                [IMG]

                It may be hardy down your way Nigel but here I would say only in a mild winter.

                Here's one for @nibor to confirm the id of..................
                [IMG]

                The seed came to me as S.radula. It is about four feet high, just the single stem which emerged from the woody stem of last years growth. Left outdoors all winter..................

                    No that is Ember's Wish, I meant the S. radula remark to be under the white-flowering Salvia.

                      @longk
                      Thank you for the id. I think I will keep it in the greenhouse over winter and maybe try a cutting outside in the future.
                      I was attracted by the colour when I saw it. @Anthony Rogers another one for your collection?

                      Hi Nigel,

                      Yes definitely, I love that colour and haven't got one anything like that .

                      My apologies to bug you @nibor but is my Salvia from 2 pages back (listed as a Peter Vidgeon) a 'Trebah' as @longk suggested? Wanting to update my (incorrect) label before I completely forget!

                      My Amistad has flowered too, absolutely glorious looking... (not a great photo though!).

                        BTW when is the best time to take Salvia cuttings, and is there a method you Salvia lovers would recommend? I'd be happy to do some and provide cuttings to folk here (I definitely owe @Anthony Rogers a few in return for his Fuschia / Salvia plants he sent a month ago!).
