Any ideas for ID

      Thanks for the ID pete. I didn't know it was a pond plant? it was sold as a shrub? I done a little reading on it and looks like it will still do well in some kind of swamp pot. So will have to see what happens?

      It will grow in ordinary damp soil, as long as you water it in dry periods.
      Its not totally hardy and tends to die down in winter, but grows back well in summer if kept moist.
      I used to grow it in my pond, but kind of forgot about it for a long time, its a nice plant.

        I've found it hardy in the Cotswolds in the pond.
