Easter 2015 I bought 4 simple sticks, or at least that is what it looked liked. Gala, golden delicious, red delicious and a Williams pear. As 2015 into 2016 progressed they grew branches and foliage. I now have fruit (not much) on the apple trees but not the pear.

I would like to know firstly do pear trees take longer to establish? Secondly, how and when done I prune my dwarf patio fruit trees (they are in pots). And thirdly, will the apples be ready to pick as per the regular trees in my parents orchard? Autumn?

So excited to eat my first home grown apple. WP_20160801_007.jpg WP_20160801_008.jpg WP_20160801_009.jpg

If I remember rightly Williams pears need to be pollinated. So you another pear but a different variety. Conference is a self fertile variety which is also a good pollinator.
