It would appear we have completely skipped autumn and just gone straight into winter <img src=" title="Thinking " />

Hot, hotter, hottest.... were going up toward the mid 90's today and staying in the low 90's the next few days. Forecast to sink down to the mid 80's by Sunday :)

I don't know about winter but it's definitely autumn here. I came close to putting the heating on yesterday and today it's no better after a chilly night, the winter duvet's back on!

What a dismal day! Although the wind has dropped quite a bit we've had non stop drizzle with fog hanging over the hills. 15C/59F

I was fishing at a small lovely lake in Manchester with my Lifelong friend and his grandson today and it showered during the morning, eased off in the early afternoon, and then started to rain again until I got home this evening. I've just checked and guess what?.........it's still raining:wallbanging: The top temperature was 62f with heavy cloud, very little breeze and, of course rain. Right now the temperature is 55f with a pressure reading of 1030mbs.
Oh, and I caught some nice fish!!:hapydancsmil::snorky:

Yesterday crept up to 72F but felt warmer in the sunshine. It didn't drop below 54F last night and is now 61F (16C). Shineyland still has an official drought with only three days of rain in the last eight weeks (and two days with less than 30 minutes of drizzle).

Sprinkler is working overtime but the blackbirds are usually waiting for me to turn it on in the mornings. They actually follow me when I move the hose to another part of the garden :heehee:

@shiney I know what you mean about the birds. They really seem to study us in return for our watching them! :rolleyespink:

We are still hot and steamy. Only 3 more days of this heat wave according to the weather guessers. I need to bake some bread as we are all out so I shall use the outdoor wood oven. Hope some of it's heat makes it over your way @Sheal :)

I went to Biddulph Grange Gardens [National Trust] with my Life long friend, his Wife and Grandson. It's been over 20 years since I visited Biddulph Grange and the first time I visited it it was just "bare bones" with everything being hacked/pruned back to get new life into the long abandoned garden. We went today despite the weather being mostly that of low cloud and drizzle with a temperature of 61f. Even in the cold grey light of the cloudy weather the garden was stunning. It was more mature, obviously, since my last visit and everything was dripping in moisture but that didn't seem to matter. It dried up somewhat in the mid afternoon but still stayed grey and dull until we started back for home with the temperature slowly rising up to around 66f and the skies started to show patches of blue. So at the moment it's gone back to being overcast but dry with a temperature of 65f with a pressure reading of 1029mbs.:coffee::snork:

Thank you @CanadianLori, I'd like to think we'll have more heat here. :) It's expected to get warmer next week but I don't suppose the island will get much above 20C/68F.

A slight improvement on the temperature today at 17C/63F, but with a strong breeze blowing and overcast skies again I wasn't expecting a heatwave!

Yesterday it stayed warm enough to sit outside until 10.30. Then, with a very clear night, the temperature dropped quickly. At 5.30 this morning it was 54F but quickly rose with the sun and is now (at 10.15) 73F

holiday n. 2 - Sweden is as gorgeous as I remembered it and the temperature is a pleasant 17 celsius. I am in the south of the country and I notice a big difference in terms of vegetation as i have met several fruit trees that i have never seen in the north. Having said that this is a great place to be just about everywhere! :) :Wino:
