Passsion flower

    I have 6 plants in my greenhouse thay I took cuttings of in the year thet are now about 2ft- 3ft tall with a good root system, could I put them in the garden now or keep them till next year

    Nathan7,I'm keen to know too. I have a couple and wondered if spending the Winter inside the G-house might be best.

    I've always considered that they weren't fully hardy, so my inclination would be to keep them in over the winter (whilst they are still small plants) and then plant out next Spring so they can get well established before next Winter.

    Are these the bog standard ones? (Because I think some of the non-bog-standard are less hardy)

    I've lost Passion Flower plants over winter, because they were in a less than desirable location (from their point of view I guess!). It might be best to over winter them - I know established plants seem to get hit by the cold and frost, then make a recovery, but young plants...?
