Well it tipped it down last night! Everything looks intact though and the water butts should be full again :)

It rained, lightly, for a while during the night but was beautifully sunny again by 7 a.m. There was no wind at all.

Now, 8.30, the sun has disappeared behind some clouds, the sky is a bit overcast and the wind is picking up.

The forecast for the next couple of days is possible rain but then going back to heatwave conditions.

Short spells of bright sunshine intermittent with light showers!

          Quite frustrating actually . . .
neither one not the other :noidea:

It has now got sunny, warm (75F/24C) and humid, only offset by the cooling gale that's blowing from the south. I've given up working at the bottom of the garden because of the strength of the wind blowing across the field. It's much easier, from a working point of view, to work in the main or front gardens but then it's too hot in the sun

Quite reasonable if the gale would stop. 20C

Qutie a lot of stuff is showing signs of the battering, brug now looks a mangled wreck, Campsis been ripped off the wall in places.
No sign of a let up, its been even worse since 4 pm.

It's rather windy, gazebos are blowing away from gardens into roads, and my tallest sunflower has snapped at ground level.

It poured with rain all day yesterday. Today the sun shone for a few hours but it's back to the gloomy grey sky and rain again. The Motorcycle Grand Prix started here yesterday and having checked out the Jet Stream it looks as though it could be a total wash out, right through the two weeks. :doh:Visitors aren't going to be happy! Temperature 18C/64F.

It's absolutely chucking it down here , I have to say I'm really pleased to have the rain :hapydancsmil:, it's been really dry here for weeks & the garden is so hard I can't dig it. I have some roses to plant & a couple of fushia's which mother in law gave me. Whilst some of my plants are looking a bit sad the weeds are still managing to grow! :rolleyespink:

They'd forecast rain for yesterday evening and were almost correct. We got drizzle, but it continued with the light drizzle until 3.30 a.m. Then the patio dried up quickly but got 20 minutes of good rain at 7 a.m. Sunny and windy now.

Now we've had a few days of on/off rain I'm pretty chuffed as the grass is greening up again and I can tidy it up a bit :)
