Torrents of rain, roads awash with it, gardens flooded, and somebody from local water supply company was in our neighbourhood this morning checking from leaks.

Started raining at around 11am, by midday a downpour, the Ramsgate town centre was under water, probably because the drains are blocked and are never cleaned out. Some people in the town were moaning about the weather, no pleasing some folk.....but I'm very happy as I have water butts overflowing, bit late for some plants, hopefully the Runner Beans will stop going to seed so quick.

                Hi John,

Isn't the whole idea of runner beans is that they go to seed , after all it's the seeds we eat :)

I eat the whole bean, pod as well, they go tough and stringy when gone to seed.

No rain today but there was some during the night which left the garden damp on my morning amble around. The skies were cloudy with patches of blue and the cloud was coloured white to mid grey while the breeze seemed to be more Northerly in direction. The temperature stayed in the mid 60f's and right now it's 55f with a pressure reading of 1019mbs. The skies have cleared so again I've powered up the Observatory to at least have an amble around the Moon.:coffee::heehee:

What a difference a day makes.
A heavy rain showers this morning that lasted for 10 minutes with a rumble of thunder or 2.
Then cool, grey skies prevailed 17'c/62'f with a cool breeze too.
That's it folks summer over and that sweet smell of Autumn will soon be here
