IMPORTANT UPDATE

Thank you Shiney. When choosing a theme I try to keep it fairly simple and open. I take on board that members live in various places, some by the sea, some in a city etc. so the subject chosen has to cover what we all have in our area. Knowing also that members have varying photographic abilities, this is taken into account as well so that none are restricted in entering the competitions.

Yes, some of the themes test us but as Apple Blossom has said, it makes us think outside the box. Photography also gets us out for a walk in the fresh air. I haven't had a dog to take me for a walk for some years, my camera is the next best thing!

Can someone please clarify the rules namely `image must be exactly as taken with no alteration`, Fair enough if that's what should apply.
I ask because I almost without fail, crop, reduce the image size and occasional tweak the lighting.

If you go to " Start a Conversation " on the persons profile page that allows you to send/receive private messages with the person, presumably Wiseowl in this case.

 

Also you can tag/mention a member using the @ symbol at the beginning of their name. I've done this in post #34 above. This will send the member in question an alert message and draw that persons attention to your post.

 

For what it's worth, I wholeheartedly approve of those conditions, Woo.

I suppose I'm a bit old fashioned, but I very much disapprove of post-processing.....in fact, I quit my camera club because of it.

I always use my iPhone to take my photos....I'm not very competitive when it comes to photography, on the few occasions that I've joined in with the competition it's just a bit of fun for me .....I do have a photo for this month

 

Like wot my generation had to do, when using film!
