So that you can later view the chaos you leave behind you? :snork:
To be fair, I am thinking of putting my old one at the rear. A little less discreet though.

Things to consider when purchasing a cam.......
A wide angle one is great for obvious reasons, but they do make things look further away than they are to the eye. You may think 'wow, he pulled out right in front of me', but on playback it doesn't seem so bad. Mine will zoom if you set it each time the camera comes on (I always forget).
If anyone broke into your car and stole your keys if you were crazy enough to leave them in the car.....these cameras will lead people to your door.
Make sure the reviews say they are good at night.....otherwise they are pretty useless at night. Mine isn't too bad thankfully. My old one was abysmal.

We have just been driving back home from our morning walk and as we approached a side junction some nutter in a decorators white van (ladders on roof rack) pulled straight out in front of us as we were nearly on top of him:yikes: I keep saying to Mr Kandy we need dash cams in both of our cars with all the nutters about:sad:

I know it is off topic but can anyone recommend a good CCTV system for our house/garage as at the moment there is a spate of garage and car break ins going over n in our village now that there are some vans/caravans camped out on land that was an old scrap yard but the locks on the gates have been broken and since then the crime rate in our village has gone up quiet a bit and the police helicopter was about Thursday night with police cars racing round the village, but we must have been tired as we slept right through it:snorky:

Maybe a HD system from Swann? (Maplins). I dont know much about them to be honest, but again....you need good night vision. The cameras have a limited range in the dark (usually 15M off the top of my head). So make sure the cameras are fit for the job needed.
I have an old Swann system, but it's not HD. You may need to buy a hard drive for them (not sure). Mine monitors my loft for rodents and pests :snork:.

I should think that an obviously sited backward viewing camera might help deter tailgating.

Most don't need a mobile phone or wifi or card reader, only thing mine (and most of them requires) is a computer with a USB port, so you download the video after an incident.
