Best TV Advert On The TV...

Has anyone else seen that advert on the telly about the alien that lands on earth,and the country is at a standstill and just as the alien is standing outside his spaceship chuntering away,the UFO chaser drives along and squashes his spaceship.The advert is something about Thinkbox,The Power Of Advertising and is brilliantly put together and has us in stitches

I agree Kandy,

It's funny and brilliant at the sane time. You think these aliens are coming in their massive space ships, and then you see he's only about 4" high

 

And there it highlights a fundamental flaw in human nature.

We still, despite everything we know, judge based on size.

Something that is small should be laughed at.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not being a party pooper. I think the advert is both entertaining and clever. But it does highlight our bizarre and unfounded ingrained belief that small things are weak. We hear it all the time. Someone who is '6ft 6 and the same across the shoulders' is automatically tough, even if they are a pussy cat. Or someone who is a scrawny little weed, like Bruce Lee.

 

That's what I told the wife on our honeymoon, she soon changed her mind
