:) Did you see Chris Packam on Autumn Watch last night?.........He seems happy with the situation,he said that if the Deer were not culled we would be overun with them...................So it's cruel to be kind......He is the expert.
He say's that the countryside is in financial difficulty and the extra revenue brought in by these wealthy hunters helps to fund the cull.............
    Controversial or not??????????

The Emperor was special though, his genes should have been passed down for as long as possible.

 Yes roders, he is right deer do need to be managed & culled.......

 This was not a genuine cull situation & you never take an animal in the rutting season unless it is very ill or injured......

We should be outraged I think roders, that some stupid idiot did this & all for money & in the breeding season.........!!!!! If a TV presenter doesn't see this then I am sorry.......

Marley,I agree entirely with what you and Roders say and the laws must be changed for the sake of all these beautiful animals.I believe it was Chris Packam who said as well that the Giant Panda should be allowed to become extinct instead of China and the rest of the world doing everything possible to save them:D

I am so glad that there were good people in the world like Gerald Durrell who set up the breeding programme in Jersey to save a lot of rare animals until his death afetr a liver transplant and I saw on the telly the other day that the Iberian Lynx is being brought back from the brink of extinction as there is now so few of them left in the world{300 I think}.Now that is something I would definetley support:D

Sometimes think the same attitude should be applied to the human race, after all, we are overun by them nasty humans.

Perhaps we should start with a cull of TV presenters and third rate celebs. which seem to appear from all quarters, most I've never even heard of.:D

As to the countryside being in finacial difficulty:scratch:, does he watch the news, the whole country is in financial difficulty.
    I think.

:hehe: Yes, maybe some would-be hunter somewhere would pay lots of money to pick off annoying celebs who have outlived their sell-by date. Then a spokesman could come on the telly to explain that, actually, it was the kindest way. The deceased had become overweight, wrinkly and deeply unfunny. A quick kill had saved him/her from the indignity of hosting games shows which no one watched, scraping a living advertising Damart longjohns or being photographed lying face down in a puddle following an emotional evening in the Dog and Duck. The money raised from the proceeds of the cull would be going to help young and photogenic fillies to forge brief careers cavorting around doing the weather.

Can we start with the overpaid presenters of Daybreak, move on to anyone remotely associated with X-Factor and finish up with most of the (overpaid) premier league football players?

No antlers, though. Would there be a premium for the ones with the biggest, stickety-outy ears?
