The Mercedes-Benz name was no where on the video and I can't imagine them supporting it. I've sent the link to my daughter who works for them, Mercedes-Benz that is. I'll let you know if she comes up with anything. :)

It could be a subtle dig surreptitiously sponsored by Tesla.

Compared to what Tesla are achieving with their executive class model S, their sports class model X and their affordable family saloon the model 3, all other manufacturers ventures into the electric world are like the merc in the mock video.

Tesla are producing a family car that does 0 to 60 in under 6 seconds, while comfortably carrying a family, and it has a range of about 200 miles, and a price tag that pits it against the smaller, weaker Nissan leaf.

Mercedes on the other hand are teaming up with several others to invest in a load of charging stations all over Europe to facilitate their much lower range EV offerings.

Back when I started on Mercedes they used to be the choice of the more discerning better class of customer. Nowadays it would appear that anyone will buy them, even customers of the class of BMW owners :yikes: :heehee: This is what happens when you lower your standards.

Having handled a few now I can confirm that they uphold the traditional American reputation for build quality - truly dire! Great idea, goes quite well but lousy execution.

I think you'll have to eat your words @HarryS. Below is part of my daughter's daily work and a high percentage of under 20 year olds learn to drive with her and the academy.

Sorry @HarryS but I thought I'd better put you straight. It is a lovely car to learn in and of course the parents of those youngsters are picking up the bill. My daughter doesn't own one though she has a Ford Edge.

Vauxhall Viva HB....was that the next model up from the HA? Mr S and I had an HA when we were first married. :)
