Filling a raised bed

    "Long brown roots 1/4" in dia.", if tapered could be docks or dandylion, if same thickness all along could be convolvulous. If it's Couch (Twitch in Cambs.), I haven't seen any that thick. You'll probably know by August.

    Ahhh, they could well be docks as that part of the lawn had a bit of a problem with them there. Are they likely to come back? Or will they die beneath 10"+ of soil?
