I have been informed that a portion of water melon at Breakfast is very good for your health. ?. Has anyone else heard anything about this?..

Why is it that everything that tastes rubbish is considered good for you?
I can only guess that following the principle of, "everything in moderation", if it tastes bad you are not likely to over do it.

In other words, try to live on water melon, which would, I'm guessing, have dire consequences for the rear end.
The "two bob bits" comes to mind.

I'll eat honeydew melon but I don't like the texture of water melon. :)

You couldn't live on melon @pete there's not enough nutrients in it, that's aside from the possible stomach problems of course.

I read this too, in the "Water Melon Growers Association News Letter", I'm pretty sure they are unbiased :)

I had 4 days of amebic dysentry from a melon I ate in Ibiza, apparently they import them from Africa where they're injected with ditch water to make them weigh more :eeew:
