Last year I planted up a new border, east facing, damp clay soil, at the base of a 3 foot wall (God knows where all the water comes from - underground springs I think). Among other plants, I put in some Nepeta Six Hills Giant (clue in the name) which quickly became too big.
So in the autumn I dug it up and replanted elsewhere, where it is looking very happy. I replaced it with Nepeta Walker's Low.
So my question is this - the Walker's Low is not showing any signs of life yet. I am in the south west and pretty much everything is throwing up new growth. Should I give up on it or wait a while?

LOL. I tried catnip once. after 10 cats rolled on the poor thing, pawed it etc. it gave up the ghost.

I grow mine in a pot and still the cats trash it. All the local cats came far and wide to rub themselves on it. It was a bit like an opium den at one point.

My advice would be to put a kind of woven willow cloche over it or surround it with lots and lots of sticks.

No cats here. Also the plants at the front are fine and growing away.

Yep, after my cats pounced on mine. Then I thought well, have to wall it off with something. But, frankly, catnip is not the top of my "want" list, so have not bought another since.
