          Aloha everyone,

Mrs Shiney's new car gets delivered this morning. :dbgrtmb: so I shall be busy trying to work out all the new-fangled stuff on it.

I'll carry on with some gardening as well. I put up a blowaway in the greenhouse and shall put the cover on it today. We just needed more space for frost tender stuff so have gone vertical. Of course, Mrs Shiney had filled it whilst I went indoors for a cuppa! We've had to put some of the chillies in there as they have now been potted on into 3 litre pots and so there's not enough room in the propagator. We sowed 12 cobaea and put them in the propagator and all have germinated. Now we have to protect them for another month.

Keep well and have a great day

          Aloha!

            Good day everyone
I have just finished work for the day. I started in the wee hours as a sunny day was suddenly included in today's weather prediction. I decided to be finished work well before lunch because I must take my minivan to have it's winter tires swapped out for all weather ones at 1 and I would like a little time to play before going to the dealership.

@shiney I can certainly understand the challenge of finding space in the greenhouse for more and more plants and also progressively larger pots. Our weather guessers keep giving me frights about freezing night time temperatures after a day of +70f. I sometimes think spring is the biggest tease of all!

Have a safe and warm day :)

Waiting for rain to stop before moving more, newish plants to an area where I think I may be able to protect with fleece, from tonight's forecast frost. This is in SE London. Even hail and sleet forecast for Wednesday. I'm away for a few days so going to be a busy night.

Raining and only managed to go outside and remove the bubble wrap i put over plants last night.

Spent 3 hours at the specialist vets trying to sort out doggies poorly paws....not related to hogweed.

Got some thai giant egg plant seeds in the post so will sow them tomorrow. They will go nicely with the thai basil and thai long beans that I had sown yesterday.

Top of the morning all my friends on this lovely April Spring morning.its going to be a simply gorgeous day ,the sun is shining the sky is blue,as Robert Browning wrote ;):blue thumb:

                    Oh, to be in England
                    Now that April's there,
                    And whoever wakes in England
                    Sees, some morning, unaware,
That the lowest boughs and the brushwood sheaf
Round the elm-tree bole are in tiny leaf,
While the chaffinch sings on the orchard bough
                    In England - now!

                      Aloha everyone,

Although it's very frosty here the sun is shining brightly.

@wiseowl I can understand why Robert Browning was homesick for England when we have such lovely Aprils. :dbgrtmb:

Mrs Shiney's new car arrived yesterday :hapydancsmil:. Now she is going to need lots of practice driving it. It has all the latest electronics (most of which are unnecessary :th scifD36: :noidea:). The salesman tried to be helpful by sending a list of simple instructions of what to do first. One of the main things he detailed was how to link your mobile to the Bluetooth on the car and download your address book. It would be quite helpful if she had a mobile  :snork:

Hopefully Michael will turn up this morning to start laying the paving stones (they're so heavy I can't even lift one!). That's if he can get out of bed and doesn't decide it's too cold. :rolleyespink:

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

                          Good day everyone
It is raining here as well. And it looks like it's a bit warmer here - temperature outside at 7 was 42f.

I'm expecting delivery of new roof shingles today. I need to have no vehicles in the driveway for a few days while the work is being done and I have a $550 parking plan.:ideaIPB: Okay, not really paying for parking but yesterday when I had my winter tires changed over, the mechanic informed me that I need new front brakes and I have decided to take the minivan back to them to perform the repairs while my roof is being done. Then I can park my car on the boulevard and get a temporary permit for street parking for the truck. :)

Got some embroidery work to get done today. This is for the daughters of a fellow who will be installing my new kitchen sink tomorrow. It's a beaut and I am quite excited about it :hapfeet:... hmmm, talk about a low maintenance woman :snorky:

Have a safe, warm and dry day :)

                            Aloha everyone,

Michael has done about 150sq ft of paving but as it was on sloping ground he had to fill underneath some of it. So now we shall need to work out how to stop the soil shifting. Some form of kerbing or boarding will be necessary.

We started looking at the handbook for the new car but it made very little sense. We shall need to be sitting inside the car to understand it.

Good morning everyone, pretty cold again this morning.
Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.:wub2:
