    Hi

Being new to this, i'm looking to buy a cheap greenhouse. I only have a small space, so probably a small lean to, or something like?? I have looked on Freecycle, but nothing around. I don't have alot of money to spare, can anyone give me any ideas please?

    Thanks

If its a small space then one of the mini greenhouses you can pick up for £20 is probably the best solution

Whilst I was shopping this afternoon I noticed in our local £stretchers they had some small 4 tiered ones for £9.99 and B&M had something similar. Hope that helps if you have any local!

With regards the four tier wire framed greenhouses...can you put grow bags in them? I have four grow bags with various veg and salads in them but the cats are trying to use them as toilets as they are on the floor. Will they be too heavy for the mini greenhouse?

I bought one and it's only really suitable for pots and things. I would say you would need something bigger or something like a tomato greenhouse.
    Hope this helps!

    How about this Craftyloulou:

I bought one last year and can totally recommend it. It's great. This is what mine looks like full:

And this is all that fits in it (I've just started to harden off for 2 weeks before planting out, so empty it during the day, then put them all back in the evening):

If you do buy it, make sure you buy the back too, an extra £20. Also, ensure you have someone to help build it with you. I did it on my own and it is a git. More awkward than ANY flat pack you will ever build. But once it's up and secured (mine is secured to the decking and the fence, via holes that are supplied in the frame), you will be more than happy with it.

    Good luck

Is this the one with the plastic sheeting? Or are those perspex/glass?
I've been browsing the site and I'm very interested in their budget greenhouse and at only £69 it seems like an absolute BARGAIN, given that I've just bought a plastic one for £35, which might I add is about to colapse :(

My greenhouse is plastic and not glass. but definitely NOT flimsy. I have a very windy garden in the winter and have had no problems. I couldn't recommend this more.
The top and sides are like a corrugated plastic and the front is like a thin perspex. I have an 18 month old little boy who has just found what fun the garden can be, so glass would not be an option for me anyway.
Even though it's plastic and not glass, it has still been up to 40c in there a couple of times this year already. This will definitley not collapse, just don't attempt to build it on your own. Also Norfolk greenhouses couldn't be more helpful and talked a few things through with me on the phone during the build (a couple of times ;-))

    Good luck

Well I'll definitely be purchasing my new greenhouse from them as the plastic one hubby brought home for me is now in pieces in my living room, waiting to go back to the retailer. It's only been up 2 days and already the joining pieces are cracking. It's been predicted we're in for pretty strong winds tomorrow and I've been left with no other option but to bring in my plants/seedlings and collapse the whole thing. I shall be placing an order with Norfolk Greenhouses sometime next week.

How long was it before yours was delivered?
Many thanks for posting the link up too, couldn't have come at a better time! :)

I don't want to throw a spanner into the works but I have a 8x6 greenhouse which I brought online for I think £220 all including delivery, the frame work is aluminum and every one of the panels are twin walled perspex it has a window in the roof and came with the base. It stands up to the heavy winds we have here as our garden is in a wind tunnel with ease.

A friend of our brought a Norfolk greenhouse of the same size as ours and I am afraid the difference in ours and theirs is really quite appalling. Our friends came with no base and their panels are all clear except for the roof, theirs also has a twin sliding door which is very substandard (you feel like you're going to pull it off it's runners every time you try to open it) and their roof is quite steep and seems really low.

To top it all off the price they paid for their greenhouse was £50 more than ours! Hel.xxx.

Sorry to hear that helofadigger. This is the first greenhouse I've ever had and can only comment on my one. All I can say is I am happy with the product and with the service I recieved before and after sale.

I can't quite rememer how long it took, but I do remember it was before I was expecting it as I remember the delivery driver just caught me as I was on the way out one day.

Hope I have helped and you are happy if you do decide to buy from NG. Wouldn't want you to have a bad experience, but I'm confident all will be fine.
Please let me know either way either by this thread or PM. Cheers.

Well for £79 delivered, it's gotta be better than the plastic attempt I had for £35! So I'm more than happy to put the extra towards it and get one from Norfolk Greenhouses.

Will keep you posted how I get on! :D
