Looks more like corned beef to me, or at least a dogs breakfast.

I was watching rip off britain the other afternoon, I record to watch at a more convenient time, and they were covering some of these spam calls and email, I find it amazing how many people can be conned into giving out details over the phone, they can lose huge amounts, one chap lost £100,000.
They did highlight the problems of people with dementia being conned into buying useless items at vastly inflated prices. One man was buying works of art, they were storing his "investments" for him, small print said after 1 year they would start charging for storage, again vastly inflated rate.

Far better off buying a live chicken, feeding it all your vegetables scraps (fresh, mind you, or DEFRA get a bit narked if you give them anything deemed "leftovers"), plump it up in time for Christmas Dinner and call it: Homegrown!

This is such a delicate, but growing, problem. A friend of mine, who's mother has had dementia for some time and resides in residential accommodation, recently discovered her father has been "fleeced" of their life savings in the past 12 months. The double whammy being, he has also recently been diagnosed with dementia (and the most likely cause of why he was taken in). Time we all looked at ways to protect ourselves and our loved ones just in case we become victim to either or both (dementia and con-artists).

I've been suspicious and sceptical for almost three quarters of a century and think it has now become second nature to mistrust anything people tell me. :old: :)

We used to give our hens all the peelings plus the leftovers but the 'mash' with both ingredients in was freshly cooked for them. Would that count as 'fresh' for DEFRA? :snork:
